THE TRIAL

Should you be formally charged with a crime and fail to reach a plea bargain, you and your legal team will head into the trial portion of the criminal process.

In choosing counsel, trial experience is an important characteristic. There is no substitute for actually being present and trying a case successfully at trial.

“A jury consists of twelve persons chosen to decide who has the better lawyer.”
-Robert Frost

The key to a trial, for both the prosecution and defense, is to persuade or convince the jury that, beyond a reasonable doubt, the defendant is guilty or not guilty of committing the offense.

The prosecution will present its case, and the defense will have sufficient opportunity to respond and make its own case.
